Do you or know of someone who needs home repair assistance? Our
local chapter “Commerce, Walled Lake, Wixom, Wolverine Lake”,
are accepting applications for 2010. The non-profit organization
provides free home repairs to low-income homeowners, ,
especially elderly, disabled, military veterans, and families
with children who often have no place to turn when they need
help. Repair items include insulation, windows, plumbing,

Transportation (MDOT) has opened its newly constructed car pool
parking lot northeast of I-96 and Beck Road.

residents can pick-up free mulch and compost of up to five (5)
cubic yards (combined) per Wixom address on a
first-come-first-serve basis until the 1,000 cubic yards per

STATE ACTION COMPLETED
October 6, 2009 legislation was
signed by Governor Granholm establishing a fifth Michigan renewable
energy tax credit. The bill gives tax credits totaling $100 million
